Our aim is to be the best company to work for on planet Earth, for our staff, clients and suppliers.

Not surprisingly, Connected can be a strange experience for those used to conventional corporate culture and we find that traditional supply-chain and corporate employee models don't fit in with our way of working. We're proud to be different and we're proud of the people who make it so, recognising that this extends to our clients and our staff.

We champion co-operation, fairness and sharing in everything that we do. This starts in our workspace, so we encourage creativity and freedom of thinking and strive to provide the best environment for our people. There is no such thing as a bad idea or a bad decision, everything is learning and fostering this approach is deeply ingrained in our approach to problem solving.

The result of this is strong relationships with all our partners – relationships that transcend contracts and working practices. Everyone we work with sees and understands the vision and drive, as a team, forward, helping each other along the way.

We understand that we are a lot more fortunate than many other people of this planet we call home and we are committed, in all areas of our business, to operate ethically and with an understanding of the effect we have on the planet.

As such we are committed to reduce the carbon footprint of everyone we touch, including our clients. Practically this has meant a 34% reduction in our fossil fuel footprint by using a combination of fuel efficient company vehicles (where public transport is not a practical option) and reducing our electricity and gas consumption by 20% in 2007. Our aim is to be carbon neutral (albeit via a small element of carbon offsetting) by 2009.

Furthermore we are committed to ensure our suppliers behave in a similar vein by refusing to use companies that don't have a publicly available and measurable policy to reduce waste, consumption and reliance on cheap/exploited labour (see Export Processing Zones). We all have our part to play in ensuring this planet survives and helping those less fortunate than ourselves.
