History

Our CEO, Martin Dower, once remarked that Internet years are like dog years...that would make us over 80 years old. There is no denying that this is a fast moving market and the Internet-driven Information Revolution shows the classic revolution traits of highly-paced change uncontrolled by governments or corporate bodies. Its an exciting time and a great time to be around and be part of.

1996 Jerry Pank starts building sites for beer money – here is an early, grade 2 listed example
1997 Martin Dower & Jerry start Connected for real money
1998 No-one wants a web-site, not even for free!
1999 Connected 3rd Birthday Party in Dublin
2000 Dot com becomes Dot con, 85% of our competitors don't survive
2001 Connected 5th Birthday Party in New York
2002 Open our first proper office with 5 staff
2003 VITES concept is born, internal re-structure forms the basis of planned growth and the end of the old lifestyle business
2004 First clear, demonstrable, signs that VITES gives a major competitive advantage
2005 Open 3,000 sq ft office in Dean Clough
2006 Connected is 10 years old
2007 VITES 2.x launched
2008 The world wakes up to behavioural targeting and personalisation
