Marketing Movers & Shakers

We like to keep an eye on who’s who – here’s a roundup of some of the recent high profile appointments in the Marketing & Agency industry:

Philippa Snare, former Chief Marketing Officer at Microsoft is joining Facebook. Snare spent 16 years in various roles at Microsoft, including Head of PR and Sales & Marketing Director before stepping up to CMO in 2011. At Facebook, her role will be Director of Business Marketing for EMEA

Jack Dorsey has been named CEO of Twitter, replacing Dick Costolo who left in July. Dorsey co-founded Twitter with Evan William in 2008.

Tom Jenen, former Google Head of Marketplace Development for Northern Europe, has joined Polar as their new International President.

Wolfgang Blau has joined Condé Nast International as Chief Digital Officer. Blau was formerly Director of Digital Strategy at The Guardian.

David Feldman joined We Are Social as an Associate Creative Director. Feldman was formerly the Deputy Creative Director at Iris.

Donald Shepherd has joined kitchen appliance manufacturer Beko as their new Marketing Director. Shepherd was formerly Client Services Director at Campaign Works UK.

Steve Hatch has joined Trinity Mirror as a non-executive Director. Hatch is also Facebook’s Regional Director for the UK & Ireland.

Matt Kelly has joined publishing company Archant as their new Chief Content Officer. Kelly was formerly Group Digital Director at Local World.

Archant’s content agency Dialogue also appointed a new Creative Director – Jon Lilley was formerly Lead Creative at the Daily Mail.

Penny Wilson has joined Hootsuite in the newly-created role of Chief Marketing Officer. Peeny is joining from Juniper Networks, where she was also CMO.
