Another nail in the coffin for Flash?

Adobe’s Flash system has been taking a real hammering recently with Apple, Google and Wikipedia effectively scrapping explicit support for the ageing video standard. Steve Jobs was recently moved to publish some notes on the subject to try and help the common man understand why Flash is bad and why open standards such as HTML5 and CSS3 are good.

Apple has, in all fairness, ploughed the proprietary furrow in the past and still tills some of it’s application and OS in the same way but uses the argument that they are breaking new ground (App Store, iPhone/iPad etc) so need to create new standards.

I’m looking forward to the day that Flash eventually dies and certainly we’re now completely disengaged from anything to do with Flash.
