Web Developer

Husband, Father, Developer, Runner, Triathlete, probable Nerd.

“Just Google it.”

Having always messed around with computers (mostly playing games to be honest), I’ve progressed from the ZX Spectrum 48k (rubber keys!), to Amiga 500, PC and then finally onto Mac. I wrote my first bit of HTML at university in around 1999, and got my first job in the industry after graduating in 2002. After spending 12 years at the same web agency I decided to try my hand in the scary world of freelance and joined up with Connected in 2014.

You can connect with me on LinkedIn, twitter @matthewpontGoogle Plus and by email at matthewp@connected-uk.com.

What do I do

I turn fantastic designs into equally fantastic websites. I create WordPress themes using the latest technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, LESS or SASS to make sure that the sites look as good as they can and also perform as well as they can.

When I’m not working

Basically just sport. Due to my love of eating and drinking, I have to exercise a lot to stop myself from ballooning! Marathons, triathlons, 100+ mile cycle sportives, swimming in the Thames, basically anything that burns calories and I can record on my Garmin and obsess about the stats.
