The word “App” has slipped into common use in English, the classic “there’s an App for that” has even been the source of parody. It’s hard to get your head around the adoption of a word that only appeared 5 years ago. Apple, who really invented the entire infrastructure concept, really have a tiger by the tail; the “App” marketplace is estimated to be worth over £20bn in the next two years.
