Support operates 24×7 over the Christmas and New Year period.
But the rest of the company takes a well-deserved break. Since we founded in the late 90’s we’ve always encouraged folks to aim for a great work/life balance, and nothing helps that more than extended holidays, short working weeks and, of course, our now-famous Xtended Xmas Shutdown Period.
2018 is no different as we continue the tradition with a 17-day extended break.
- Last day for scheduled support requests: Friday 14th December
- Last day for administration & finance: Monday 17th December
- CLOSED: Tuesday 18th December
- REOPEN: Friday 4th January
We find many folks start to wind-down after the first week of December; family, Xmas shopping and seasonal activities are on their mind and by the middle of December our working world is like a ghost town. So we all take a well-deserved break.
This is broadly in line with major network providers, and reduces the risk of a serious outage or problem laying unresolved. Most Internet backbone providers will not provide non-essential support over the Xmas and New Year period.
For contract clients, non-working days over the period are Tuesday 25th, Wednesday 26th December, Tuesday 1st, and Wednesday 2nd January. However, urgent support tickets can be submitted over the shutdown period and will be monitored 24×7, but please expect a slightly longer response and fix time. Normal service will resume on Friday 4th January.
